BRAG's Development

Before owner and program director, Mary Henry, established Bull Run Academy of Gymnastics (BRAG), she had gained vast experience as a competitive gymnastics coach and/or program director in the states of Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, and California and the countries of Japan and Chile.  Additionally, she gained nine years of experience as a certified USA Gymnastics judging official and member of the National Association of Women's Gymnastics Judges (NAWGJ) while living in these various locations.  Shortly after moving to Virginia in 2010 following a family assignment to the US embassy in Buenos Aires Argentina, she became the Head Varsity Gymnastics Coach at Battlefield High School in Haymarket.  

Her husband's career had kept them on the move for the better part of two decades, but once she and her husband decided to permanently settle in Virginia in 2014, BRAG became a reality.  Mary utilized her varied background and wealth of experience in developing BRAG's concept of operation and unique program of instruction.  Ultimately, her intent was to provide her students with an experience they can truly "BRAG" about.  

In August 2014, Bull Run Academy of Gymnastics (BRAG) was established at Vint Hill Farm Station to provide superior quality instruction in the sports of gymnastics, tumbling, and cheerleading to build self-esteem, confidence, and athletic excellence in the local youth of the greater Fauquier and Prince William, Virginia area. 

Located at historic Vint Hill Farm Station, BRAG initially occupied a 15,000 square foot building adapted for use as a gymnastics training facility.  However, due to the high level of demand and rapid growth BRAG experienced in 2014 and 2015, the need for a new facility became a necessity.  After an extensive search for a new location and facility design process, BRAG was relocated in August 2018 to its new 28,000 square foot custom designed and fully air-conditioned training facility which offers full viewing of the training gym from the mezzanine level viewing area.  Other enhancements include the addition of a sag bed foam pit and distinct training areas for pre-school, recreational classes, tumbling & trampoline, cheerleading, and competitive gymnastics.  Our equipment includes:
